I'm obsessed with The Substance; is anyone shocked?

I’ve had a stock answer for years when asked “What is your favorite movie?” in interviews, Q&As, etc. My answer is The Graduate, which feels like an archival reply at this point. Like saying my favorite color is purple because that was true in 1984 (except I cribbed even that opinion from my favorite babysitter, Leigh, who had a PAAS™-purple bedroom with variegated purple shag carpeting. Leigh also had a fascinating sister, a bonafide genius who started college at 14 and began smoking crack to medicate her big, weird brain. But I digress.) Anyway, I always say The Graduate because no one is gonna argue with that except a kino-bro contrarian and they don’t come to my Q&As, thank Goddess. All this is to say, I have a new favorite movie. I’m sorry, Mike Nichols, but I am retiring my stock answer. My new favorite movie is The Substance!
